Peschici

Just 11 km from Paglianza Hotel, you will find Peschici, a charming seaside village. As you drive north along the S.P 52, you can admire the historic Saracen Towers, the small bays and the Trabucchi. It is important to mention the presence of two Trabucchi along the bay Baia di Manacore. One of them easily accessible and functioning under the guidance of Mr Giuseppe. Peschici, with its crystal-clear waters, has been awarded the Bandiera Blu for many years and hides treasures such as the Byzantine Castle and its dungeons.

Abbey of St Mary of Kalena

This ancient holy site, dating back to 872, was once a Benedictine monastery and is considered one of the oldest abbeys in Italy.

Early Christian Necropolis

Located about 15 km away, in the territory of Vico del Gargano, the necropolis dates back to the 2nd century B.C. and witnesses the presence of the cult of Diomedes.

Beaches

Gargano, with its rugged coastline and crystal-clear waters, offers a variety of beaches to discover and admire. Towards Peschici, you can start with the hidden charm of Cala del Turco, just 3 km away, and then continue on to Baia di Calalunga and Baia di Zaiana. Then you cannot miss the famous Baia di Peschici, a jewel nestled in nature. If you decide to explore the area towards Vieste/Mattinata, the Baia di Sfinale is a great place to start, followed by the tranquillity of the Spiaggia della Chianca. The Vieste-Pizzomunno promenade offers breathtaking views, while Baia San Felice and its characteristic rock formation, the architiello, are a must. Continuing the journey, Cala delle Pergole, Baia delle Zagare and Baia dei Faraglioni offer spectacular views and crystal-clear waters, until you reach the splendid Mattinatella.
